Yandin WIND FARM

Studies

This page provides members of the general public with regular feedback from studies that have been conducted on the Yandin site.  These studies contributed to the Environmental Statement (ES) that was submitted to council for planning approval. Supplemental studies will continue in 2017/18 once a turbine supplier has been selected.

Heritage assessment : 22nd May 2012

This study was carried out to fulfil Wind Prospect’s commitment to conduct a more detailed desktop assessment and onsite survey of the Yandin Wind Farm to identify and mitigate impacts to Indigenous heritage. Brad Goode and Associates were commissioned to undertake this work with the assistance of representatives of the Yued NTC Group. The significance of waterways and Moodjar trees to the Yued people was acknowledged.
